I am a mom of a special needs son and have other children as well. I took a sabbatical from the work force to focus on him for 5 years and now he is 12 and thriving within his circle and of course with his other siblings. I feel my heart is called to be that break from the heavy for other parents out there who are in the same position as I am. My son has ERBS and KLUMPKES palsy all physical disabilities... then we throw in ADD/ADHD... dysgraphia... dyslexia... frontal temporal lobe brain damage... and the most talented person and hero that I know! It does effect us as parents so sometimes we all need help outside of ourselves! Parenting is tough but parenting a special needs child is life's greatest challenge and reward! It takes a village!
