I have been lucky to have cared for children since I was 12. My mother worked with a young woman who was on the Autism Spectrum for 13 years, so I started watching her at home to help out her mother when I was in the sixth grade. This led me to caring for her younger sister, and eventually, as a junior in college, it inspired me to co-found and produce the first ever undergraduate performance devised specifically for children on the Spectrum Theater stands with Autism.
Over the years, I have cared for neighbors, family friends, and teachers friends, and now many families in NYC. I have experience with children age 1+, special needs children and adults, both boys and girls, in date night, occasional, and part-time afterschool positions.
I enjoy babysitting because of the weight it takes off from the parents backs. Making their lives easier while also having fun with children is well worth the time.
