The last 5 years I have been a school social worker. Two years ago, I began working with k-8 students for a small school district. I loved spending time with them in the classroom, small groups and individually. I worked with elementary students on math, reading, writing, and spelling. I taught weekly social and emotional lessons to every grade. I worked with middle school students on character building, social and emotional support, and conflict resolution.

I have great experience establishing and building rapport, setting expectations, and using positive rewards and breaks.

I enjoy working with students who are struggling with school, or stress. I see that they need more individual support which I can provide. I have professional and personal experience working with special needs students including those on the Autism Spectrum, as well as students with emotional and learning disabilities.
