Meet Angela
I am an in home licensed day care provider looking for children between the ages of newborn - 6 years. I have worked as a daycare provider and have infant, child, and adult CPR certification as well as Pediatric First Aid Certified. I have my CDA and am a tear 1 on paths to quality and working on a level 3. My home is clean and no smoking is ever permitted. I provide a monthly curriculum through Mother Goose Time that helps teach children and keeps them moving throughout the day. My home is set up with different centers (math, science, technology, reading, quiet area, music, and dramatic play). TV will only be provided if it helps enhance the curriculum or a special party has been planned.

I am open from 7 a.m. -6 p.m. Hot home cooked meals will be served for breakfast and lunch and additionally two healthy snacks will be made available.

I am primarily looking for full time, but will consider part time. Full time is $150/week for 18 months and older and $170 for 6weeks to 17 months or $50/day. At this time, I can't accept hourly.

I love working with children. I believe keeping a child happily occupied helps with the stress level that sometimes occurs when a child is separated from their parents.

Angela answered and ad I placed on and has been watching my 2 1/2 and 5 year old for a few weeks now. My children honestly couldn't be any happier, which says a great deal since they had both been with the same in-home person since they were each 6 weeks old. I anticipated the very unexpected adjustment to be difficult and even spoke at length with Angela about it to prepare her, though it has been a complete breeze. She keeps a regular schedule that includes circle time, crafts, activities that keep them moving, and discovery/ learning (these are my words, the may not match up to what Angela calls them on the detailed curriculum she creates for each day). That said, somehow it flows easily and normally similar structured school environment as opposed to my weekend attempts at setting a routine at home. My little guy gets up each morning and asks to go see his "friends", his speech delay and all, and comes home talking about his day and the "fun with friends" while handing me the craft he created for the day. My 5 year old plays with the other 5 year old and works on Pre-K activities that keep her brain going and sleeps well from spring activities. There are tons of little things here that you simply will not find in other daycare homes - fresh fruit, balanced meals and snacks, a planned schedule that allows the benefits of routine and teaches cooperation with the kids, physical activity, and learning (even when they don't know it is happening). I am not sure I have even seen a TV in her house and her living room is a giant (and insanely well kept!) play room full of games, trains, doll houses, and imagination stations. The cribs are located next to the kitchen, each child has a cubby for clothes and diapers. There is even a handwritten report that comes home each day detailing what was eaten, and potty training pluses and minuses. It's a home away from home, every parent's dream for their kids when we are not around. It's also is a reasonable cost for the area! I'm fairly picky and admit to being spoiled with in-home daycare; as a working mom with a lot on her plate, I am thrilled with Angela and her program! Posted Apr 22, 2011
