In the past, I've worked at two child care centers as a teacher's assistant. My responsibilities included managing a classroom that consists of 10-15 4 and 5-year-old children, providing them with learning experiences that promote their cognitive, social/emotional, language, and physical development, assisting the lead teacher with creating and implementing lesson plans, record keeping, safety, and keeping a tidy classroom. I also have recent experience as a nanny. In caring for families with as many as 3+ young children, my responsibilities include safety, feeding, dressing, infant care, potty training, light housework, and providing learning experiences to promote all areas of development. Some activities include learning games, reading, singing/dancing with music, playing outdoors, taking walks, and dramatic play (pretending).

We were extremely lucky to find a nanny like Angie. She is everything we wanted and hoped for in a caregiver. Kind, caring, creative, stern when necessary, and punctual, my kids took to her right away and she quickly became just like family. Angie is always bringing creative projects for the kids to do and scheduling times in the day for the kids to dance, learn french, do art projects, and read. My boys are really into countries and flags of the world, so Angie will come up with creative geography projects. A natural with children, she is great with getting the kids outside to get their exercise. She handles a 6, 4, and 2-year-old with ease. Even the woman who comes to clean our house told me, "You are very lucky to have a nanny like her. I clean a lot of homes and see a lot of nannies and none are as attentive as her." If you are lucky enough to get a chance to hire her, do so! You'll be happy you did.
