I have been working at an adult day program with adults with disabilities and have been in this field for 15 years. My current position is medication administrator and first aid/CPR instructor. I also work hands on with clients not only in the medical part, but the daily services too. Some of my daily tasks are to support individuals with intellectual disabilities while they are engaged in social, community, and therapeutic activities and ensuring their safety and wellbeing, assisting the individuals with a wide range of needs related to communication, personal cares (including eating and toileting), mobility, etc., implementing a variety of person-centered planning goals, documenting on service delivery, progress on goals, outcomes, and relevant events, and occasionally driving company vehicles.
