My name is Amy, and I am a qualified university student looking for a personal aide jobs the Joliet area. I am studying Psychology and Photography. I know conversational American Sign Language and work well with those who are deaf or heard of hearing. I have experience working with seniors and different abilities. I worked for 2 years as a personal aide assisting a gentleman with cerebral palsy. I am comfortable driving wheel chair accessible vehicles. I'm capable of doing any kind of house cleaning, buying groceries, transporting individuals from place to place and assisting with any minimal labor. I'm short, I'm not interested in lifting over 80 pounds alone. I work to provide the adults I work with the most independence he or she can possibly have. I know the most difficult part of this time in someone's life is not being able to do the things one used to and feeling alone and dependent.
