I have always loved children of all ages. When I was 14, I started volunteering at my local YMCA's Child Care Center where I worked with trained professionals and children from infants to preteens. I later applied for a job there, and worked there until I was 21. I worked as a Lead Teacher at a preschool in the West End for 3 years before becoming a private nanny for the past 7 years. I have been with the one family full time for 6 of those years. I am certified in CPR and First Aid, baby signs, potty training, and water safety. I have a lot of experience with all age groups and love every child for who they are. My friends say that I do so well with children because I am one at heart.

Amy is the most caring and loving nanny we could have hoped for when selecting someone to watch our daughter. She has been with our daughter (and another little girl - it's a nanny share!) since she was 4 months old and has treated her as if she was her own child. She has been tremendous in helping us as new parents not only with our daughter, but with many of our new parent questions! Her experience from her time working in a daycare is above and beyond what we would have expected. She takes pride in making sure both girls have their individual needs met and is very attentive to their different personalities. She worked to get both girls on a daily schedule and is very active with them doing crafts, playing outside, and helping them learn new things. If we could keep Amy with our family longer, we would but the commute from Richmond to Northern Virginia just won't work :) I'm positive that Amy will continue to be a part of family even after she moves!
