I have over 15 years of experience with children of all ages in varying roles, ranging from a nanny to a special educator working with students with extreme behaviors. At a young age, I began to gain knowledge about children while nannying for infants, school-aged youth, children with special needs, and even triplets. During college, I expanded my knowledge further while earning my Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Middle Education, with a math focus. After college, I had the opportunity to teach in many venues, but fell in love with behavioral special education when I landed a job at a day treatment center. I went on to earn my Masters degree in Special Education, with my thesis focusing primarily on students with exceptional behaviors. I'm retired and working from home now, but love kids so much that I just knew I had to keep them in my life and share the gifts I've been blessed with. Most days you'll find me playing with my two big dogs, working from home, planning our next camping trip, watching sports and cleaning. I like things neat. I'm excited to meet your family and bring my innovative methods of hands-on learning, playing with a purpose & structured skills training.
