I am currently at Boston College studying Elementary Education and Hispanic Perspectives. I am very passionate about working with all students, especially grades K-6, and I love to learn different methods and tactics that will make me the most effective teacher to my future students. Having grown up with a sibling with Asperger's Syndrome, I have had a fair amount of experience working with students with special needs. I am currently in a class entitled "Working with Students with Special Needs" that has given me a lot of training for how to work with students with all types of disabilities. I also volunteer at a day school for students with severe special needs. Learning about and working with these exceptional learners has led me to want to go to graduate school to get my license in Moderate Special Needs after 2016. I love to work with all learners and I am so excited to have an opportunity to work with a child and his or her siblings as a friend and mentor this summer.
