In 2005 my grandmother suffered a stroke and was no longer able to care for herself, I quit working and moved from Florida to Georgia to care for her. She lived with my four children and I. She was a diabetic and would have small TI's and also developed dementia. I administered all medications, bathing and grooming, she wore diapers and would need assistance with the bathroom, I prepared all meals, took her vitals and blood sugar and recorded them daily, I took her to all appointments. We also loved to go shopping and although she couldn't stay out too long she really enjoyed getting out, we would attend events at the kids school and loved watching lifetime. She passed away in 2014 and I was lost. I recently moved back to Florida with my husband and our two youngest to be close to my mom. I get such gratification from taking care of others. I am not CPR/First Aid certified but I will get it,
