About Amelia

Hi I'm Amelia! I am a student and poet and have been working with kids and families as a dedicated nanny in Brooklyn for the past 3 years! I grew up in a small town in Northern California and moved to NY for college. I currently attend SUNY Empire and am studying both creative writing and child development! Something that gives me extra knowledge and background to understand the kids I work with. I grew up babysitting and caring for the children of family and friends, and have always loved being around kids. I have experience with kids of all ages, and spent my summers working at a day camp for 2-10-year-olds. We did lots of playing outdoors, arts and crafts, building forts, reading books, and gathering fruits and veggies from the garden! I love being in nature and being creative with kids, and learning from them as they learn from me.
