I am a hard working student and mother of two children ages 8 and 13. I have an associates degree in both criminal justice and applied arts from Mott Community College. I am currently pursuing my bachelors degree in criminal justice, and I've recently decided to change my minor to sociology, and plan to apply for the sociology program this fall at the university of Michigan -flint.
I have 2 years of experience assisting an older man full time in his home who had Parkinson's disease and became paralyzed in both arms. I assisted with preparing meals, feeding, dressing, bathing, assisting him in the bathroom because believe me he was bound determined to do as much as he could on his own but I learned to work according to his needs. I assisted him with medications and transportation to doctors appointments shopping, picking up medication. I would also take him to visit his children who lived close or relatively close. We went to church just about every Sunday morning, we would attend his grandson football games, etc. I also happen to be a professional house cleaner I am very trust worthy and can provide great reference.
I am looking to eventually work in a medical facility (hospital/ hospice) as a medical social worker to help families and their loved ones to get the best support and care necessary. In the mean time I would love to assist someone in their home. I love to help others, and it really fills my heart with joy to see families benefit from what comes so natural to me. I can honestly say it would be an honor to assist you, or your loved one to the best of my ability, feel free to contact me to see if I am or would be a suitable candidate for your needs.
