Hello there my name is Amanda, I am an NIU graduate with my B. A. I have been caring for children for 20 years now. I have taken care of infants to teens, and babysat for multiples (families of three with pets). I'm great with light house keeping, finding family fun activities for everyone to enjoy; including reading, going to the park/playing outdoors, playing board games, arts and crafts, etc. I enjoy cooking and am capable of preparing a fully balanced meal for your child and, or children. I am also able to cook based upon dietary needs be it food allergies or otherwise (vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian). I am also a pet sitter (Dogs, cats, birds, etc.) and I do have the capability to stay in your home while you are out of town if required. I am very flexible with my availability.

Amanda is a kind and hard-working person with a palpable love for children (and pets)! She has been a trustworthy, doting caregiver, adapting as our child grew from a tiny infant into a busy toddler. She was wonderful at getting our sleep-fighter down for a nap and was always happy to oblige our daughter in her all-time favorite activity: piggyback rides. Amanda also would drive her to different field trips, from the park to the DuPage County Fair. Amanda also took care of our dog, taking him for walks, preparing his meals, and giving him lots of belly rubs. Beyond how well she cared for our daughter and dog, we really appreciated her flexibility and willingness to work late, change schedule as needed, and to work overnight shifts. It gave us so much peace of mind, knowing that our child was safe and loved with Amanda!
