I have been working with children and adults in the special needs community for roughly 8 years. I have babysat for several families who have children with special needs (Downs Syndrome & Communication Disorders) and volunteer with several different organizations! I think this is an amazing group of kiddos and I always learn something new from them! As far as qualifications go, I am First Aid and CPR certified, have worked with kids who have mobility issues, language issues, and who use AAC devices. I know some sign and am working to learn more this semester! I can help with meals, provide activities suitable to kids ability level, work on therapy exercises, and have reliable transportation if needed. I am a full time student but am done with classes before noon almost every day! I can pick kids up from school or daycare! I can also get you recommendations if needed!
