My ultimate desire is to help people become more independent in their day to day lives. My goal is to become an occupational therapist. I plan to apply to graduate school for the upcoming cycle. From August 2013 to May 2014, I was a Rehab Therapy Aide in an inpatient rehab hospital. I absolutely loved helping the therapists with their therapeutic practices. I mainly worked with patients suffering from strokes, but I also worked with people who suffered from spinal cord injuries, muscular dystrophy, etc.

Amanda served as a per diem Inpatient Rehab Therapy Aide at an Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility. She worked every Saturday and some weekday hours around class schedules. Amanda demonstrates a strong work ethic, initiative and professional communication skills with patients, families and colleagues. I strongly recommend her!
