About Amalia

I have loved being around children my whole life. Whenever a new cousin was brought into this world, I was right there to help. At age 13 I started watching three boys regularly; ages 4, 7, and 9. I made lunch and sometimes dinner, and helped with homework. Throughout high school, I babysat for various families with children of all ages. During my college career, I babysat and nannied, which helped me gain a lot of experience with newborns, infants, and toddlers; sometimes all at once. I nannied 2 1/2 years full-time with a wonderful family with two children. I started when the little girl was just 3 months, and the little boy was 20 months. They started preschool and nursery, and my child care journey took me to NYC. There I spent 3 1/2 years working with two boys. I started when they were 5 months and 5 years old. Then the pandemic started, and moved back to the Midwest with my family. Ideally, I'm looking for a position that would allow me to bring my 11-month-old daughter with me.
