I graduated the University of Arizona with a BS in Engineering and minor in Public Health. During my time at the University, I taught a freshmen level math course for two semesters and volunteered at a tutoring center in a local elementary school. I have an active Fingerprint card with 7 years of tutoring experience for all grade levels.
I enjoy working with students and have a positive attitude and a passion to assist and motivate struggling learners. From personal experience, I've learned that people learn things differently and at different paces; when students struggle with a subject, it's usually because their learning style conflicts with the style or pace with which it is being taught. Tutoring one on one gives the opportunity to learn at the student's optimal pace.
In my free time I enjoy practicing yoga, hiking and spending time with my dog.
