Last year my grandpa has a stroke and I stayed with him for months. I helped him with his meals, eating, and drinking. I helped him get in and out of the shower. I helped with medication as directed by doctor. I assisted when his physical therapist who came weekly, and worked on his physical goals(light walking/arm/leg exercises). And up keeping his house grocery shopping, laundry, and cleaning. My main experience is in Special Education. I was a resource teacher with my emergency credential. Outside of the school site I worked outside of a home with two girls with disabilities who were 19. I assisted them with showering, bowel movements, shaving, menstruation cycles, medication, therapeutic listening, deep compression, and outdoor adventures(walks, swimming, etc based on their goals.) I have years of experience and looking to expand my experiences. I am silly, understanding, and stern when needed. I like to laugh and spend time with my dog and cat on my free time.
