Hello families, my name is Allison. I am a 22-year-old new single mother. I am studying to be a special needs educator for infants and toddlers. I am talking a little break for now but I have attended college for almost three years now. I currently work in Modesto, CA part-time. The hours are low, so I still do have a very open schedule and know my hours within one to two weeks before. I also may request days and/or times off if I find a full-time nanny/babysitter position, If this could be a great nanny job I may just quit my part-time, till my now 8-month-old son gets older. A full-time nanny job is what I am most interested in. Of course I do need the extra money for my child but also want to get back into being a nanny/babysitter so my child could be with me. I've been babysitting since I was 13 years old for family and family friends. I have babysat children from ages 6 weeks old as infants to grade school children, boys and girls, and also multiples at times. I became a live-out nanny for a young preschool child about a year and a half ago, but that has recently stopped, due to parental custody. Also since January 2012, I became a part-time evening nanny for a young infant child through Care.com, and that job stopped in October 2012. I was no longer needed because of the parents' jobs. I enjoy working with children, and I have a really great sense of humor. I am reliable and very patient and organized. I am comfortable working with infants. I do have experience with them (including my own). I am comfortable working with toddlers, to do potty training or anything as needed, and also school age children with homework. I can do transportation if needed. I'm a very fun and loving person. I hope to hear from some really great families. Thank you, Allison.
