I am a former special education teacher who relocated back to Illinois to be closer to family. I previously taught special education in both Illinois and Florida and have experience teaching grades Pre-K through 8. I have worked with kids (ages from birth-22 years old), in a variety of settings and disabilities. I am passionate and very knowledgeable in the Autism spectrum disorder field, and feel that many of the skills that I have developed throughout the years can be used with all kids at all levels. I decided to leave the teaching profession to further my time working with families and kids on a more individual basis. I really enjoy getting to build and connect with families and the children. I am always smiling and willing to try new things. I believe in schedule consistency but I know that flexibility needs to be involved as well.
