I've grown up my whole life caring for special needs people. My brother was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome in High School. It was really hard for him to adjust. So I got more involved in his life. I volunteered every day in his social skills class. Which turned into me watching a lot of the children in his class after school. After he graduated I was an in home care giver for one of the children who was previously in his class. She had Retts Syndrome. I was with them for over a year. After that I was a weekend caregiver for two older patient. She had Alzheimer's Disease. He had Parkinson's disease and was also diabetic.
