My mother was pregnant with my sister in 2008 and we found out that she has Down Syndrome. I assisted in the Special Needs department at my high school, including children with mild and severe Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, ADD, and ADHD for all four years, and worked with Developmentally Disabled Adults in my spare time. After High School I babysat an Autistic young man all summer. Then took Early Childhood Education at my local college.
