My name is Alicia and I am 22 years old. I recently graduated from Eastern Washington University with a BA in Children's Studies, a BA in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. I just moved to Beorne and I plan to take a year off from school then apply to the Master's degree Program at Texas State for child development with a focus on Child Life. I have been working with children for as long as I can remember and I absolutely love it; hence why I want to be a Child Life Specialist. I am currently a nanny for 3 boys, ages 6, 9 and 12 and I am working roughly 50 hours a week. My boss was really sad to see me move on but understands the fact that higher education comes first and they support me 110%. She would be able to give you a reference for me along with other families I have nannied for in the past. I have also volunteered in the nursery at a recovery shelter for women where I took care of children aged 0-5 years old.

She contacted us about a job we posted and after interviewing her and negotiating her hours and rate of pay, we decided to wait 6 months for her to relocate from Washington to Texas. We kept in touch throughout the 6 months. A few days before she was scheduled to work she rudely informed us she found a better job and had been searching for one the almost the whole time while committed to us. We were very disappointed.
