Having elderly parents who have required assistance for daily living, I have both participated in their care and needed relief from providing their care. My father had Alzheimer' s and lived with me for 3 years before it became necessary to place him in a residential facility. My mother is 90 years old and requires around the clock care. She lives out of state and therefore I am unable to care for her personally. However my siblings help with her and I am aware of the needs she has.
I am a Christian woman who would welcome the opportunity to help with such things as running errands for or with the care receiver, spending time with them to ensure they are not lonely and that they are safe. I can make sure they receive their medications and their meals on schedule. My hours are flexible and I am willing to work part time or full time. I can do respite care if the regular caregiver just needs a break. I have had CPR and first aid certification.
