Currently, I am a fourth year student at Auburn University where I am majoring in Early Childhood Education. Through my course work, I have had the opportunity of observing a first grade class at Loachapoka Elementary school for a semester as well as completing my service learning at the Little H. A. P. I. E tree preschool at the Auburn Early learning center. These two experiences have given me great experience with children 3-6 years in age. I am also the oldest of my two other siblings, 18 and 9. I was 11 when my mother had my youngest sister, so I was able to learn and help my mother with her as she grew. As a high schooler, I participated quite frequently in vacation bible study as an assistant teacher/volunteer. I facilitated crafts, story book readings, and snack time. Usually, my group was around kindergarten age, but I did work with 2nd graders as well as 3rd graders.
