Having completed my undergraduate degree at Oxford University in the UK, I am now in New York to study a master's degree in gender and mental health therapy. I have an array of different kinds of teaching, special needs, nannying and caring work experience and I look forward to working with you! I have been working as a special needs assistant in a primary school with the 4-6 age group. This work has involved significant one-to-one focus with children with cerebral palsy, autism and undiagnosed learning difficulties. While draining and difficult at times, this work has greatly expanded my ability to cope in testing scenarios and communicate in a range of ways with total patience, through art, music and dramatic gesture. I have also work as a peripatetic music teacher in secondary schools in London, focusing on the 11 - 15 age range, all abilities. I support teachers in music lessons and teach guitar, bass, drums and singing one-to-one. I also have significant experience working with blind adults.
