I have 11+ years of professional experience caring for children in various settings. I worked at a residential Girl Scout summer camp for 9 years, caring for girls who ranged in age from 6-17 years old. My responsibilities as a camp staff member were vast and largely included all care needed for taking care of children away from their homes for up to 2 weeks. I have 5+ years experience working with young people with special needs aged 8-22 years old in a residential school setting. This work has included providing support in activities of daily living, creating meaningful programming, and supporting community outings. The majority of the young people I've worked with have had multiple disabilities. I'm passionate about providing the best care and opportunities for growth to those I work with in order to create meaningful experiences.
