My name is Aiesha. I have been a CNA since April 10, 1997 but I have been a caregiver most of my life. When I am asked the question why did you choose to become a CNA; the pay is poor, the work is hard, and you are not appreciated? I respond the same way without fail. I did not choose this field but I was chosen for this field. I have a heart for what I do and the ones I serve. Working with the elderly and those that have developmental disabilities is part of my life's purpose; it is what I love! To me there's not greater feeling than feeling as though you have not only made a difference in someones day, but there life as well. One day if I am fortunate enough to live a long life I can only hope that my service to others will serve me the same. Humbly Submitted, Aiesha R.
