My mom is in need of home-care during her transition to hospice and time in hospice. She lives in Lunenburg center. The ideal care-giver is compassionate, a non-smoker, and comfortable dealing with end of life. Work may include light house-keeping, meal prep, picking up after dinner, basically making sure she is comfortable. Hours are 3-5 p.m. and will increase as her health declines.
My mom uses a walker to get around; however, she tires easily and has difficulty speaking sometimes. Her faculties are there, no dementia or Alzheimer. My mom has COPD. She is legally blind which means if an item is moved, it must be returned to it's original position. She is an albino. Sunshine & snow is extremely painful for her eyes, so the house is kept semi-dark. She is in-transition to Hospice, so her needs will be changing the closer she gets.
