I'm a Certified Nursing Assistant. I worked in a nursing home until my kids started school. Then, I worked as a one-on-one caregiver because of my children. I'm flexible with the schedule. I've worked with seniors with dementia, Alzheimer's, and fracture surgery. I work with clients who needs assistance in walking, rehabilitation exercise, meal preparation, grocery errands, doctor's visits, light housekeeping, and companionship. I've been working as a caregiver for 10 years with an agency which started back here in Aurora and moved to Elk Groove, most of their clients now are at Northside and I can't travel that far anymore due to high cost of fuel and travel time. I only accept their client if they'll be close here, in the Aurora area. Right now I'm working with one of their clients in North Aurora for 6 years who had a hip surgery. I worked there 5 days a week but then she got better and I work there 2 days a week now. I also work with a client who's looking for temporary relief for their primary caregiver like their spouse, children or a stay-in companion caregiver over the weekend. Being a caregiver is a full time job and we all need a break.
