I am a fun-loving and trustworthy nanny. I am very hands on, enjoy exploring in play and I don't mind getting a little dirty! I love the children I care for as if they were my own, and take great pride in helping them grow developmentally. I have been in the child care industry for 15 years, and have been a professional nanny for 10 years. I have worked in the VPK setting, and in homes with more than one child. This has helped me develop the ability to multitask. When starting with a new family, I make sure to respect the family's typical feeding and napping schedules. I am also an artist, so letting little hands explore with different art mediums and fun crafts is exciting. I am a member of a group called Central Florida nannies that get together often for play dates around the area. Some of the activities I like to engage in are trips to the Aquarium, Science Center, playgrounds, and various libraries for story time. When in the home, I like to spend time fostering the development of young minds with stories, crafts, games, and other fun learning activities. My work history: July, 2011 to present: Full-time nanny for two children, aged 5 and 3.5 currently. Winter 2010 to present: Occasional evening and weekend babysitting for two boys who are now 5 and 7 years old. Spring 2012 to present: Occasional evening and weekend babysitting for two boys now 4 and 6 years old. Fall 2007-July 2011: Full-time nanny for a great family who had twin boys (5 months) and a little girl (3). Spring 2006- Summer 2007: Full time nanny for two boys ages 3 and 8 months. 2005-2006: Full time live in nanny for 4-year-old twins. 2004-2006: Assistant teacher during the day for a VPK program, along with running an after school program in the evening. I typically had 12 to 22 children in my afternoon class, with ages ranging from 4 to 12. ETC Skills: CPR and First Aid certified Basic American Sign Language (ASL) Various courses (early literacy for children, age birth to three, basic guidance and discipline and preschool appropriate practices). Attending a Nanny Conference in Orlando October 2nd-4th, 2015. Future plans: I am enrolling in a program to become an Occupational Therapy Assistant, beginning in January 2016. This program will be completed online and on the weekend. What I live in the Metrowest area in Orlando, have my own vehicle (with a clean driving record) and I am a non-smoker. My name is Beth and I am an Oregon State Graduate (2006) with a degree in child development. I have been a certified doula and have a ton of experience with children of all ages; twins, singles and siblings. I have an 18-month-old son! For the last 11 years I have been a nanny for an amazing family with two boys (11 and 8). I have made a difficult decision that the time has come for me to move on from being their full time Nanny! I am a now on the hunt for a new kiddo or two to take care of (along with my son) in my home, in Beaverton (Cooper Mountain). We are very active and enjoy doing many different activities, sometimes with other moms/nannies. The children's museum, omsi, music class, library time, zoo, play dates, art studios, etc are a few of our favorites. I was a Speech & Language Specialist & Teacher in the California school system for 25 years. My children don't have children yet, so I consider this work my fun Grandma Opportunity! Thru a large chunk of my adult life, I was juggling parenting, teaching, and being a perpetual student. I know the struggle. As I've matured it's simpler for me to relax and be present. The truth is I worked hard learning to relax :) I have also become better at playing as I've become older. I enjoy participating in nearly all indoor and outdoor sports, music -I play the flute, and a little piano, guitar and drums, hiking, camping, nature, dancing, gardening, cooking, baking, weaving... I engage in life. I appreciate and nurture the inquisitiveness and playfulness in children, as I too possess this.

Hi! I have work in a child care-giving situation for the last 15 years. This experienced has ranged from infants to school aged and from typical functioning children to those with special needs. I have a lot of training surrounding the RIE approach of care giving and working with children with behavioral challenges. After studying Human Development at WSU, I began my career working with young children. I have 20+ years of working as a nanny and in lead positions in early childhood schools.
