Hello my name is David. I taught English as a Second Language at 3 schools and have tutoring for over 20 years in English, Spanish, Math, Music (introduction to guitar, guitar chords, finger placement, strumming), Public Speaking and Speech Writing. My granddaughter, who was a senior in high school last year, has had problems with math since third grade. She had to pass Math 3 in order to graduate but has been failing or on the cusp of failing for years. David did an excellent job in tutoring her. He used helpful illustrations, visual and tactile examples to help explain the reasoning behind why a calculation functioned, along with other methods to help her understand, reason and visualize. As a result, she not only passed the class but did so with one of the best scores in math that she has ever achieved.
