Hello everyone! My name is Emily L; I am a full-time, fourth grade Math teacher in Somerset, NJ. I am originally from Michigan where I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Michigan State University. I recently relocated from northern Virginia where I taught second grade Language Arts for four years to Central New Jersey. I recently obtained my Master's degree in Teaching and Curriculum from Michigan State University in 2018. This is my sixth year of teaching; I have taught first grade-fourth grade, all subject areas. My strengths are building foundational Math and Reading skills, creating positive relationships with my students, and growing in my field. I'm looking for part-time jobs. I have my own transportation and am willing to travel. My ideal hours are in the evening during the week, but am flexible on the weekends. I have tutored at Rider University in several different areas including different science courses (bio/chem), language courses and psychology classes. While directing at an after school program I assisted students in the completion of their homework and was requested to tutor some children by their parents in various subjects (math and language) from grades 3-8. I was recently accepted to Princeton University to further my research/educational interests in Experimental Psychology, I have begun summer courses while completing course logged hours for certs.

I am currently a rising junior at Muhlenberg College looking to provide childcare or tutoring services for your family during the summer months. I have over 7 years of experience taking care of children and can provide references upon request. I also currently tutor math students at the college level and am studying to become a high school math teacher. I enjoy singing and baking in my free time.
