About
In this week's class, we’ll be celebrating the art of RC Gorman, a highly acclaimed Navajo artist known for his depictions of native women. Influenced by nature and Navajo tradition, Gorman's art liberates paint with fluid forms and bold color choices, borrowing from both Mexican and Western techniques to redefine indigenous art in the states. Students will recreate Gorman’s Navajo woman with watercolor and pastel, learning about color and pattern to achieve a bold statement with a simple form.
Dres for a mess!
