Experienced And Excited!
Most people have a "thing." This can be something that they enjoy, get excited about, or are passionate about. My "thing" is children. I distinctly remember being an elementary student, watching my classroom teachers and thinking to myself, "I'd like to work with kids someday." I had other interests surface now and then, but children kept calling my name. I decided to major in Elementary Education at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. Right after graduating in 2008, I began teaching at Victory Christian Academy. I gained 12 years of teaching experience there. In my spare time, I am very involved at Liberty Bible Church, where I reside on the Children's Ministry committee. I mentor, teach Sunday School, lead a group of girls on Wednesday nights, and help coach a Bible Quiz Team. Kids are a huge of part of my life, and I wouldn't have it any other way!

I am currently a senior at Chesterton High School. I am the oldest sister to two younger siblings and have been babysitting since the age of 13, so I have lots of experience with kids of all ages. I have also been a competitive swimmer since the age of 8, so I am comfortable with swimming supervision and even giving swim lessons. Additionally, I am life guard and CPR/ First Aid certified by the American Red Cross, and have taken a child care course at Franciscan Health in Michigan City. I have a car and would be more than happy to do pick ups/drop offs for activities, or help with errands. I can also help with homework as I am an AP student at the high school. I am a very energetic, engaged, and caring babysitter and am excited to assist your family in any child care needs!
