Dementia Care Specialist
Hello! I reside in New Smyrna Beach and love my little beach town! I spend my down time kayaking, cycling, hiking and, of course, swimming and playing at the beach! I have 22 years of experience in caring for Alzheimer & dementia patients (I have care experience with RA, cancer, stroke and other health issues as well) and their families. I perform all tasks associated with maintaining memory care safety, dignity and med management. I have extensive palliative care experience (I have worked with both Vitas & Hospice of the Comforter) with bed bound patients, wound care, transfers, bathing & toileting. I work with the family, doctors and therapists to follow the plan of care prescribed as well as contribute my own expertise as a collaborator of care. I strive to stay up to date with new ideas, meds and treatments for various issues impacting geriatric patients. I believe safety, comfort & dignity are of utmost importance in good care. I look forward to answering any questions.

Hi, my name is Paulette and I'm ready to get back to the working world. I'm retired and I thought I'd enjoy not working but I do miss it terribly. My whole working life has always been caring for people including the elderly, some having dementia, also people that just needed companionship, or bedridden people. I also have many years of experience working with kids and young adults with numerous kinds of disabilities. My last job Before I moved here from Massachusetts was with a young woman with Arthrogryposis. I worked with her for almost 20 years and we also became best of friends. She's been down to Florida to visit me 3 times since I moved here almost 2 years ago. I am a very caring person and I give the people that I work with top notch care!!

New jobs posted by families:
Looking for an in office nanny at a medical practice for a 4-month-old baby girl. In Sept/Oct there will be 2 more newborns that will need to be taken care of. This is for 3 working mamas that will be in the office, but need help caring for their babies. The office is in New Smyrna Beach. The hours would be 8-5 most days with some variation. Days of the week may vary at first until we figure out what works best. All 3 babies would not always be there at the same time everyday. We are creating the nursery now in the office and would love for the nanny to help with suggestions! **This is NOT a job employed by the medical office. The mothers will be paying the nanny and the office will just be the location of child care** Nanny experience required. Preferably with babies. References required.
We are a family with 4 kids (2 girls ages 5 & 14) (2 boys ages 12 & 14). We are looking for child care in our home; we need help two evenings a week from approximately (5 p.m. to 9 or 10 pm). We also need one weekend night and can be flexible with the day for date night (Fri Sat or Sun) We pay a 4 hr minimum. Sometimes it is just the youngest child age 4 while the others go to sports activities. Other times it is all 4 kids. We have 4 rescue Puggles so it should be someone who likes dogs (a lot). We Look forward to speaking with with you.
