Hi there, I'm Hanna and I have been a full time nanny for 6 years! This is more than a job for me. It is an extraordinary experience to watch, love and aid compassionately your children as they grow into the amazing people they were always meant to be. I try vigorously to improve my approach to being a nanny by adding a lot of art, music and outdoor activity. My care is always designated for your child specifically and all of my interests or energy is what is best for their own needs. I am confident in all ages and personalities, and I'd love to be a helpful member of your family. Thank you for your consideration, if we seem like a fit please reach out! My best, - Hanna.

Last year I had the incredible opportunity to work as an aide at an elementary school. I worked with children in kindergarten through eighth grade, working with them in a variety of settings like in the classroom, in the yard, in the cafeteria, and one on one. I worked with three students who had special needs, giving them extra help in classrooms and eating breakfast with a student who had emotional difficulties. I really got a sense of how to have responsibility for children, keep them safe, treat them with honesty and respect, and be able to play with them and have fun. I learned the ways in which different ages respond to communication differently, and what was the most effective way to communicate age appropriately. While at the elementary school, I also worked in the after school program. This program was much more like a babysitting position, because the children were out of school, but still needed projects and games to keep them busy. There the ages were all mixed in one pool of kids playing together, and kids from other schools joined in as well. I had to be much more aware when they were playing that they didn't hurt each other, because the older kids could be much more rough, and the environment was more enlivened because of the different mix. Once a week I taught a Drama and Arts class for kids ranging from first to sixth grades. Each week the ages and numbers of kids would be different, so the class had to be very flexible and creative to meet this challenge. We did lots of projects like make paper mache masks, theater games, tell stories, create chalk drawings, and play Dress Up and Act. I felt this experience prepared me for a range of situations because I was fully responsible for a number of children, a group that was constantly changing, and for children who had already been in school the whole day. I plan to spend my life in arts education. Doing workshops, murals, teaching in elementary schools, tutoring, and mentoring. I love kids, I love their unique personalities and styles, the way they can be so genuinely honest, and their amazing talents. At your home I could engage your child in many projects that could enrich their skills in writing, the arts, theater, biology, ecology, gardening, cooking, and more. I strive to always stay patient and treat children with respect and love. I want to nurture their skills, and help them feel protected in a way that they can express themselves and be comfortable with who they are.
