Job Description The Adult Skills Center (TASC) is a 501 (3) nonprofit organization which provides individuals with different abilities the instruction, training and support needed to ensure that they achieve their highest level of independence, develop a sense of well-being, and realize their greatest potential. They will have opportunities to share in all aspects of a full, productive, personally meaningful and satisfying life. The Adult Skills Center recently added a supported employment vendorization with both a Regional Center and the Department of Rehabilitation to our wonderful array of services. JOB OVERVIEW: Ensures assistance is provided as needed for program and program participants. Act as job coach for newly hired clients, assist with adjusting/acclimating and learning new job. Working with Case manager and Job developer to identify challenges and outcomes for participants. Participate in new hire orientation for clients offered employment in community. RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT BE EXCLUSIVE TO: - Orients the client to the work setting. - Models all job duties and work alongside client at each employment setting. - Adheres to the dress code, company policies, and culture. - Develops and follows a checklist that identifies all job duties that must be completed during the work day. - Trains the client to complete their assigned job duties up to employer expectations. - Teaches the client appropriate work place behavior. - Assists the client in developing professional relationships with co-workers. - Provides support, instruction, coaching, counseling, mentoring, and advocacy the person to ensure job success. - Assists the client in developing goals for the Individual Habilitation Services Plan (IHSP). - Assists the client in achieving the goals identified on their IHSP. - Participates in the client's IPP meeting. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Performs additional duties, as assigned. Must have reliable vehicle, proof of insurance, a valid California driver license and driving record acceptable to TASC insurance provider. Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions in English.
