Laughing And Learning.
My name is Melissa. I'm 27 years old. I have a Bachelor's degree in Communications. Through my undergraduate studies, I learned different ways to get your audience to pay attention according to their age and habits. I was born in a family with a solid marriage. My mom used to be a teacher, and my dad a musician, they are both retired now. I have two siblings, an older brother and a younger sister. I grew up around a music and education culture. I believe someone's attitude, values and knowledge are shaped during his/her first years of growth, and therefore, are the most important. I like to travel. I love to learn and meet people. We, as adults, must raise responsible and happy persons, and the best way to do it is teaching our new generations by example.

Seeking care for my mother in her 60s. Services needed: bathing / dressing, feeding, meal preparation, medication prompting, help staying physically active, mobility assistance, light housekeeping, errands / shopping. No prior experience required. Specialized care needs: nursing experience, support for memory care. Female caregiver preferred. A little more about my mother: she can be lethargic, pleasant, reserved. My mother is small in stature. She has the first stages of dementia and Alzheimer's disease. She moves very slowly, especially now after having hip surgery after a fall. My mother speaks Spanish to only. I'm looking for someone who is patient, strong, bilingual. Must understand mom's disease. Mom used to enjoy going to church and being active, but now she won't go anywhere unless my dad forces her to go with him. My dad is her primary caretaker, but his knowledge of her illness and his patience is limited.
