Job Summary: Megan's Place is hiring fun-loving, energetic, and compassionate caregivers to work with our unique population of children with a variety of developmental and physical disabilities.
Design and implement a wide variety of activities which are suitable to each individual child and their needs.
Adapt activities and assist children in participating to their full ability.
Assist and encourage appropriate social relationships and behaviors with staff and other children.
Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living including but not limited to communication, mobility, toileting, hygiene, basic cooking, feeding assistance, dressing, etc.
Communicate constantly with parents and update them on the progress and successes of their child.
Identify and monitor social, emotional, and behavioral challenges and assist in determining an appropriate course of action.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with caregiver team and supervisors.
Adhere to all relevant standards of health and care provided by Megan's Place, and other state and local agencies.
Must complete a background check upon hire (over 18 must have fingerprints run through the FBI/CBI database).
Must have CURRENT CPR/First Aid and Blood Borne Pathogens (Universal Precautions) certification.

Willing to work any day of the week at various times.
Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities.
Preferred: experience with working with individual with a variety of disabilities.
Preferred: a general understanding of developmental and physical disabilities.
Preferred: relevant coursework in child development, education, psychology, healthcare, etc.
