Professionally speaking, I have 4 years of experience working with babies and children. I have worked as a babysitter for children ages 3mos-11 years, a part-time nanny for a child from when she was 3 until she entered first grade, a volunteer preschool teacher, a kids room supervisor for children of all ages, and a tutor for elementary-age students. On a more personal level, however, I think it is worthwhile to point out a few things about the way I like to interact with kids. I encourage healthy habits - hygiene, manners, politeness, and so on - and it is something for which many of my families have thanked me! I also think it is important to encourage kids to be creative and self-expressive, so I love art projects and new ideas in general. I am always ready for an adventure, whether that is an adventure outside at the park or inside with some paints (which will be cleaned up, of course!).

I have a bachelor's degree in Economics with a minor in Hindi from India. I was a Hindi teacher for 3 years in India before I got married. After marriage, I became a housewife & a full-time mother. Both of my daughters are in college & I would like to return to the workforce. I have been a nanny on & off for the past 5 years. I have a strong experience in taking care of newborns, especially premature. I utilize a lot of ancient Indian techniques to care for the baby. I am an expert in providing the baby with the Indian traditional almond oil massage. Oftentimes new mothers have difficulty in breastfeeding and latching on. I serve as a lactation consultant by teaching them how to eat certain herbs and I make them special foods to provide the most nutritive breast milk for the child. If needed, I also help with cooking meals and light kitchen cleaning. If you have any further questions about my strategies, please do not hesitate to set up an appointment & I will be happy to discuss.

I love working with kids. Growing up I helped my parents look after my brother and do chores as well as errands around the house. I also assisted in the pre-k and first grade classes while in the eighth grade by helping the kids with their schoolwork. This past summer I worked as a camp counselor at South Mountain YMCA. While there I worked with kids of all ages specifically those between the ages of 6-8. I was responsible for engaging in camp activities with the kids and most importantly their safety. Being a camp counselor is a 24/7 job just like caring for a child. We look after 12 or so kids day and night as well as other kids even if we are not assigned to them. I connect with kids very well because I am a kid at heart.

I started caring for children at the age of 12. I was babysitting at least once a week until the age of 15 when I received my first nanny job. During high school I took several childcare courses such as child development 1 and 2, adult roles, daycare, and preschool. At age 16, I got a job working in a daycare where I have racked up about 350 hours total with children under the age of 5. However, I spent most of my time with infants and toddlers. For the past 3 months I volunteered in Fiji in a kindergarten where I taught in a class of 62 kids between the ages of 4 and 5. I absolutely adore kids and find complete happiness in caring for them.

I'm a teacher at KinderCare Learning Center! I've only been here for three months, but I love it. I teach school-age children and I drive a bus, transporting to and from various locations. I've also worked as an Assistant Daycare Provider in a Daycare of 14 children with varied ages from infant to school-age over the last few years. We ran the daycare from 5 a.m. until 6 p.m. everyday. I've worked with special needs children and high needs infants. I am experienced with a full preschool curriculum, carpooling back and forth to elementary schools, and outdoor park adventures. I am knowledgeable of child safety standards mandated by licensing. I have successfully potty trained! I have set and adjusted schedules based on the needs of individual kids including providing healthy meal plans for infants and children to assist their nutritional growth. Healthy little bellies are very important to me, as well as stimulating hands-on activities.

I am a patient person who enjoys spending time and having fun with children. I am compassionate yet firm and love teaching children. Excellent interpersonal and communicative skills. Goal-oriented person, good professional attitude and highly motivated individual. I also have school-aged teaching experience as well. Create a positive child care climate by preparing various activities, playing games, avoiding conflict situations and nurturing self-esteem. Perform activities like shopping, cooking, ironing and mending. I would be happy to meet with parents on a weekly basis to discuss the following week's plans, as well as any disciplinary problems. Record any problems that occur during the week and report situations that need to be addressed by the parents. Prepare and serve breakfast and lunch. Oversee playtime and schedule activities to ensure proper development of social interaction with other children. Effectively handle interventions between children when disagreements arise.
