Our daughter, G, is 15 years old and has a diagnosis of Baraitser-Winter Syndrome, which is a rare disorder that impacts a child's development, both physically and cognitively. She is a freshman in high school and enjoys watching YouTube videos, playing with her baby dolls and Barbie's, coloring, listening to music, and playing outside on her swing set or trike bike. She has epilepsy, which is well controlled with meds and a visual impairment which impacts her depth perception. She is verbal and communicates much like a 4 or 5-year-old. She can be difficult to understand at times. G is able to move independently - walks, runs, swings on the swing set, and rides a trike bike. She is able to toilet herself. Duties would include: getting her off the school bus, providing snacks, short walks, and playing with her.
