We are looking for an energetic, warm and compassionate caregiver for our 10-year-old daughter with intellectual disabilities. This person must be physically active to keep up with her and be able to take her to swim and to other public places during the summer months. She needs assistance with toileting, bathing and feeding as she is physically able, but needs hands-on guidance. The right person also must be comfortable being taught how to manage her epilepsy and medications. Though she is our priority for the upcoming summer months, we also expect a new baby to arrive in late July/early August. We can discuss the comfort levels of managing both our 10-year-old and an infant during the school year, though a combined situation would be ideal. Some light housekeeping and laundry assistance (kids clothes only) would be needed as well.
