About who needs care: Her health has been declining, especially in the last 2 years since a big fall breaking her femur. She is in a manual wheelchair and can only safely manage assisted transfers to and from her chair. She suffers from unknown/undiagnosed and untreated mental health conditions. Hoarding, depression and anxiety are main concerns. One of her main concerns is her incontinence (she has suffered many falls due to not waiting for assistance when she needs to use the toilet.) She is a retired nurse who used to love gardening, knitting and painting with watercolors. She also really loved swimming before her big fall. Playing Rumi Cube is also something she's enjoyed since being in assisted living. About the care needs: Someone open-minded and progressive would suit my mom best. She is a large women, about 5'9" and over 200lbs, so someone able to confidently help her with wheelchair transfers is best. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, and mobility assistance.
