About who needs care: Mom is 82 and can still walk and get dressed on her own. She has progressive neurological disease with some dementia. She still has long term but her short term memory is gone. She is mild mannered and loves to sit and relax while watching television. I usually wake her up between 9-10:00 and give her breakfast. She feeds herself. She takes her medicine and then gets dressed. She usually just relaxes and watches tv. She snacks and then has lunch. She doesn't do much on these days because she has dialysis Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. She has to limit her fluid intake and her potassium intake. She has to also limit processed foods. She needs to eat a lot of protein. About the care needs: She would mesh well with someone who likes to talk and is social. Services needed include: companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
