About who needs care: Recovering well from a first time stroke. In rehab which will continue 11/4 at home with in home health services. On blood thinner. Has daughter across the street from house. Hobbies: Watching football, making jigsaw puzzles; and when better dancing/gardening/going out to dinner. Does not drive at this time. Wakes at 10 a.m. takes meds, has coffee/breakfast, watches tv, uses iphone, talks to friends, reads, pays bills with daughter. Has one indoor cat that likes to enjoy screened porch with his Mama. About the care needs: Calm, patient, experienced, good sense of humor; and enjoys conversation. Positive mindset. She is able to stand with help but will need potty chair by bed to start with at home and diapers changed as needed and until she gets stronger with PT/OT. Guidance with meds. Minor assistance with feeding and dressing. Meal prep/clean up. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
