About who needs care: My mother is disabled. She uses a walker and/or a wheelchair. She has an in-home caretaker 7 days a week from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. and is able to manage on her own in the afternoons/evenings in her apartment in CA . She will be visiting from 11/13-11/17 for a family event on Saturday 11/15. She'll need help dressing, bathing, getting around the house, etc. She will try to do things on her own if not accompanied all the time, which we may not be able to do during the daytime on each of the days. She gets up around 10-ish and on weekdays we can usually take over around 4/5-ish. On the Saturday we'll need help for the morning event from like 8:00 AM-2:00 p.m. and again from 4:00-10:00 PM, hopefully you can work a lot of hours that day... Sunday 10:00-4/5-ish would be great but we can be flexible if you are not avail for some or all of that day. About the care needs: Kind, patient and strong enough to help my mother get up, get dressed, in/out of wheelchair and cars, etc. My mother is not large but she has poor balance and needs help getting around. My mother has difficultly talking and can be hard to understand, so patience and understanding is critical! Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
