Seeking care for my mother in her 90s. Services needed: companionship, help staying physically active, transportation, errands / shopping. Looking for someone with 5+ years of experience caring for seniors. Specialized care needs: CPR/first aid training. Female caregiver preferred. A little more about my mother: she can be pleasant, independent. Likes crossword puzzles, well-read. Does jigsaw puzzles with neighbors in the condo bldg. Mobile, but needs to walk/exercise. A little forgetful. Likes to shop. Likes flowers and hummingbirds on her deck. I'm looking for someone who is patient, chatty. An independent lady who can drive, a handy person, not afraid to get her hands dirty. Interest in plants and birds is a plus. Likes to go for drives, have lunch or coffee. Take her to Dr appts and pick up meds as needed. She has a housekeeper, so no housekeeping. I think she is the most tenured in the complex. She is very independent. She drives, but has difficulty seeing. She does not go out at night. She is very up to date on local news. She is very personable and has a pleasant disposition. She mainly needs someone to drive her to appointments and shopping for groceries and browsing. She doesnt like to walk distances, but needs some exercise most days. She had a stent put in about a year ago. Her health is good for 91. She rises at 600 a.m. and goes to bed at 9 p.m. sharp. She does jigsaw puzzle with friends from 4-6 p.m. daily. She works on crossword puzzle and reads newspaper from 7 a.m. to 1030 a.m. with breakfast.
