My wife Marianne is in her 70s and has Parkinson's disease. We are seeking part-time hands-on care. One responsibility will be dressing her daily and bathing her in a chair 2-3 times a week. She weighs 100lb. Assistance in feeding is a plus. No special diet required. Duties include providing companionship. She sleeps in the living room about 12 hours a night. She mostly watches television or naps in the afternoon. She is in a wheelchair when we go out. When possible, walking her in the neighborhood is a plus. We prefer someone who can help with light housekeeping - doing the laundry, a little vacuuming, and some living-room clean-up. We prefer the mid-day hours for the caregiver. We prefer a non-smoker. I (Jerry: the husband) will be in the house most of the time and can help in many ways.
